Graduated in 1999 in Electrical & Energy Engineering at the Federico II University in Naples with a Specialization in Operational Radiation Protection achieved in 2000 at the Department of Nuclear Engineering of the Polytechnic of Milan.
Radiation protection expert of 2nd degree since 2001 and 3rd degree since 2003, he holds the position of ERP at various public and private bodies in the healthcare, industrial and research fields.
For over 20 years he has been dealing with radioprotection and safety in the nuclear field, both in the decommissioning phase, in the radioactive waste management sector and in the design of nuclear plants, collaborating as a freelancer with the main contractors of Sogin, Enea, Nucleco and JRC .
He is vice-president of the Italian Association of Radioprotection and member of the Scientific Committee of the Carlo Polvani Higher School of Radioprotection, as well as a member of the Italian Nuclear Association and of the European Nuclear Society.
Mr. Vittorio Festa will be speaking about Radioprotection Strategies for Small Modular Reactors during Session III: Panel – The Future of Nuclear in a Net-Zero World, on 14 January.
